When Tears Remain

Sooner or later, grief touches us all. In 2006 it pierced Luke and Jodi Veldt with the sudden death of their 13-year-old daughter. The loss shook his faith, yet drove Luke to the Scriptures for answers. This excerpt from Written in Tears and the material from counselor Jeff Olson share comfort and wisdom for grieving hearts from Psalm 103. The honest cries and biblical wisdom found within these pages will benefit anyone who has lost a loved one.

  1. Just wanted to say I have met several people recently who have loss a loved one- a child or grand child and I hope to send and hand this to them. We all handle death in a variety of ways. So I hope that in some small way I can assist each person with their loss by pointing them to a resource that has more knowledge and info than I have . Thank you for sending this to me. Thank you

  2. Dear Luke,
I’m writing from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I would like you to know that my dear son went to Heaven in March 2015. He was only 15. After reading your book, Written In Tears, I was really inspired by it. He had exactly the same condition like your dear daughter Allison. He just woke up in the morning, complained of a headache, vomited, went into a seizure and left us without a word of goodbye. Doctors told us that he had a congenital growth in his brain and we were not aware about it at all. It’s called Arterial Venus Malformation (AVM). It just ruptured in his brain and they couldn’t do anything about it. He was healthy, a sports person & a top student in his school. My family and I are devastated and find it hard to believe and accept this reality. I would like to know how are you and your family are coping with the terrible loss. Thank you.

    1. Chan,
Thank you so much for sharing. We are so sorry to hear about your loss. The loss of a child is so devastating.
We would be happy to pass your comment on to Luke.
Please know that we are praying for you and your family!

There is no cost or obligation for these materials! We don’t really have a suggested donation, we appreciate any support! The material cost for these booklets is about 25 cents each.
      Blessings!
