The Law of the harvest isn’t any wrong. A man indeed reaps what he sows. But when God is not pleased with a man, where he sows grains it reap thorns for God is not pleased with him.
Jeremiah 12:13 (NKJV)
“They have sown wheat but reaped thorns;
They have put themselves to pain but do not profit.
But be ashamed of your harvest because of the fierce anger of the Lord.”
However if we will read until the end of Job’s story we see that the ending is a good one. For God sometimes allowed trials so that as (1 Peter 1:6-8) says,
“In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory..”
We can have faith and take heart because He who had promised also said, ”
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. (1 Corinthians 10:13)
