  6. A simple way of accessing the power of the Holy Spirit for sanctification and releasing anger comes about when we honestly identify each exact reason why we are angry, and specifically give it to Him and ask Him to carry it. (I Pet. 5:7) Of course, like the old illustration of a coffee cup that spills over more quickly when it’s already full and we add to it, many people have much anger that they have stored up from the past that they are trying to ignore so they can be a “good Christian.” This can be the source of current overreactions, and can be dealt with by asking the Holy Spirit for wisdom (James 1:5) as to where that source of anger is, then specifically giving it to Him. (For example, “Lord, I’m angry because my father came home drunk every night, and he beat my mother, and we never had food to eat. But I’m tired of carrying this anger, so I ask you to take it and carry it for me, in Jesus’ name.”)

We have seen thousands of people set free from uncontrollable anger and overwhelming grief by using this simple process which anyone can do for themselves. A generic prayer, “Lord, I give you all my anger”, will not be effective, but honestly handing each separate item over to Him will.

  7. I have learned that Love its better then anger, praying to accept the things that cannot be change and change the things that can with Gods loving care all through our life.
